Sauerkraut, on the other hand, is made by fermenting shredded cabbage in brine. This fermentation process gives it a tangy and sour flavor, as well as a crisp texture. It is commonly used as a condiment or side dish in many Central and Eastern European dishes, including with sausages.
When combined, Kransky sausage and sauerkraut make for a delicious and hearty meal. The smoky flavour of the sausage pairs well with the tangy and sour flavour of the sauerkraut, creating a perfect balance of flavours. The combination is often served as a main course, accompanied by mashed potatoes or bread.
In addition to its delicious taste, Kransky sausage and sauerkraut are also rich in nutrients. Kransky sausage is a good source of protein, while sauerkraut is high in vitamin C, fiber and good for the gut. Together, they make for a satisfying and nutritious meal.
